Hey everyone!

Quick update that I wanted to share with you all.

The coin proofs arrived and they look amazing! The two they sent me are .999 fine Silver and Copper.

(I get to keep the silver one as the first minted proof) You will all be getting the Copper minted coins. Here they are!

Now I know the backside on the silver has a small double minted look. Rest assured that they wont have that in final production. I'm really excited by how they feel as well!

On the press side of things: The manufacturer hopped on a call with me and mentioned he is getting closer to the completion of the presses. Devoting more time and working on solutions to help expedite the process. I was elated to find out he was including a Jaw actuator for those folks without an arm to help for disabled people that wish to try out blacksmithing but are afraid to because of their disability!

That's really neat!

Shop update! Anvils and stickers.

Hey folks!

I've been busy as all heck over here getting the shop ready to start running.

In the recent weeks I have been getting the electrical grid ready for both 110v and 220v outlets, and acquiring various pieces of equipment. The forge has been shipped to me and a test run has been performed as well as a few pieces worked on.

The only thing I'm waiting for is the hydraulic press. I have been speaking with the manufacturer for the CNC press and he is currently welding the frames together.

Originally I was told they were going to be ready by the end of May but it will most likely be a week to week basis.

This is the latest email I have received from him June 3rd of this year.

Beyond that the anvil/hammer coins are being minted and the 3D printed anvils as well as the #DFMG stickers are printed and primed and will be sent to me to ship out.

Nothing has been sent out yet, so don't worry.

I'm really excited for the next couple of weeks! I'll see you in the next update!

Hey everyone!

Some news on the shop front... I have one now!

Signed in on April 1st and it's no joke! I've been gathering equipment slowly from different suppliers. and that will still take a while to get all of them together with the biggest one of them in mid-May, the Hydraulic Press.

Aside from that bit of news I've talked to the coin minters and they are set to have the dies made and begin production on the exclusive coins!

Also! the final 3D render of the Vlogsmith figure had been revealed! 

The incomparable Russ Charles has been working diligently on this sculpt and after a few revision has exceeded my expectations!

Shop space and BackerKit update!

Hey folks!

Some good news, some not so good news.

Let's start with the good. BackerKit is set to go live Today!!

You can now make a late pledge if you missed the original Kickstarter! 

(be sure to tell your friends)

Coins: The dies are being worked on as we speak. and they should be ready within the month. BackerKit will tell me how many will be minted and I'l be sending that number plus a few extra over to the minter.

Blacksmith figure: The sculptor had a few delays but is currently working on the 3D model and will be sending me screenshots soon hopefully.

Stickers, Anvils and Shirts: As soon as Backerkit is finished the total tally for each item will be given to the manufacturer and they will get to work on them right away.

Now on to the bummer news: 

Shop space. I have been scouring the L.A. and O.C. regions for spaces to let me set up shop for my blacksmithing business and I have been turned down a few times. Needless to say this is tiring but it is a necessity. I am on my third commercial real estate agent and this one seems to understand what I want as well as the challenges presented.

This also means that the hydraulic press and material for the dice will be delayed until I can get the space.

So the early dates for Dice will most likely be shifted some as I get settled into a new space once I find it.

Finally! All of the bugs have been worked out hopefully and the select few that received the smoke test will be able to leave feedback on it. 

As for the rest of you, once the smoke test is over the entire BackerKit will go live and you will be able to adjust your pledges and place add-ons to your order.

During this time the campaign will also allow for late pledges for those who missed the kickstarter in the first place! So be sure to tell your friends!
